Goldsboro - Mr. Leslie Jacob "Jake" Martin, 81 of 709 S. Audubon Ave., passed on Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at Wayne Memorial Hospital, Goldsboro, NC. The celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, December 19, 2015 at 11:00am at St. Mark Church of Christ DOC, 700 W. Ash Street, Goldsboro, NC. He will be laid to rest at Wayne Memorial Park North, 1191 Old Grantham Road, Goldsboro, NC. There will be a visitation held on Friday, December 18, 2015 from 3:00pm until 7:00pm at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremations.
He was born in Wayne County, NC on May 3, 1934 to Leslie Martin and Wyona Massey Martin. He is survived by five children: James Leslie Martin, Pamela Elliot, Sandra Francine Martin, Leslie Jeffery Martin and Anthony "Tony" Martin; three sisters: Lossie Whitley, Dorothy Wilson and Lessie Johnson; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
