Kinston - Ms. Lula Y. Lawson, 68, passed on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center, Goldsboro, NC. The celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at 1:00pm at the Temple of Deliverance Worship Center, 314 W. Lenoir Ave., Kinston, NC. She will be laid to rest at the Mills Memorial Garden, 1300 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd, Kinston, NC. There will be a visitation held on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at the church from 12:00pm to 1:00pm.
She was born in Lenoir County, NC to Mandy Louise Pettiway Pugh and Murphy Fields. She is survived by her husband, Preston Lawson; her daughter, Deanna L. Simmons; her son, Willie H. Lee Jr. and siblings.
