Goldsboro - Mrs. Mamie D. Smith, 69, fought the good fight and received her reward on Friday, June 2, 2023 in Greenville, NC. The celebration of her life will be held on Sunday, June 11, 2023 at 2:00pm at the Holy Ghost Cathedral, 812 E. James Street, Mt. Olive, NC. She will be laid to rest at the Cobb Cemetery, Juniper Road, Faison, NC. There will be a chapel viewing held on Saturday, June 10, 2023 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home & Cremations, 1701 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, NC.
She was born on September 1, 1953 in Duplin County, NC to Maryland Edwards Jr. and Odessa Powell Edwards. She is survived by her children; grandchildren and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
