Goldsboro - Ms. Marilyn R. Leath, 68, passed on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at Wayne UNC Health Care, Goldsboro, NC. The celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at 3:00pm at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home & Cremations, 1701 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, NC. There will be a chapel viewing on Friday, September 17, 2021 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest at the Golden Gate Memorial Gardens, 4734 Highway 117 North, Pikeville, NC.
Marilyn Rose Leath was born on May 19, 1953 in Brooklyn, New York to the late Richard E. Leath and Jane R. Williams. She is survived by her daughters: Crystal (Nicole) and Jeanne (Marvetta); Son, Raymond (Monica) all of Goldsboro, NC; Grandchildren: Shanna (T.J.) Nelms, Brooklyn, Cali, Lesandro, Christian, Dakaria, Shemar and Xavier; Great Grandchildren: Bryson Nelms and Elijah Carlton all of Goldsboro, NC; Sisters: Sharon Butler of Brooklyn, NY, Carolyn Leath of Phoenix AZ, and Deborah Gonzales of Brooklyn, NY.
She was proceeded in death by two sisters: Janet Williams and Bety Leath. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
