Lexington - Mr. Marshall "June Bug" Wellington, III, 61 passed away on Monday, January 11, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. There will be a viewing held on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home & Cremations, 1701 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, NC. The celebration of his life will be held graveside on Thursday, January 21, 2021 at 10:00am at the Eastern Carolina State Veteran Cemetery, 164 Longs Plant Farm Road, Goldsboro, NC. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, there will be a limit of 25 family members/friends allowed at the service.
He was born on August 6, 1959 in Wayne County, NC to to Marshall Wellington II and Justine Jones Wellington. He is survived by his father, Marshall Wellington, II; his four children: Kristina Deanne Wellington-Boseman (Ronald Terrill), Katrina Marshelle Wellington, Marshall Wellington,IV and Dayshall Raymar Wellington; his siblings: Jeffrey Green, Taressa J. Roberts, James (Earl) Wellington, Sarah A. Wellington-Hines (Michael J.), Charles Ray Wellington (John), and Paige Rouse; his grandchildren: Kristen Denise Wellington-Boseman (13), Kailee Lenise Wellington-Boseman (10), Kaleia Tayler Boseman (7) and Rilee’ Taylen Boseman (6); his aunts, Gloria Jean Worrell; uncles: Billy Wellington, William Wellington and George Wellington; great uncle, Linwood Jones and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and close friends.
