Mr. Marvin Ray Artis' Obituary
Goldsboro - Mr. Marvin R. Artis, 83, passed peacefully on Sunday, May 26, 2024 at his home in Chicago, IL with family visiting during the holiday weekend. The celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2024 at noon at Woods Chapel UAFWB Church, 928 New Hope Road, Goldsboro, NC. He will be laid to rest at the Turner Swamp Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, Turner Swamp Road, Eureka, NC. The chapel viewing will be held on Friday, June 7, 2024 from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremations, 1701 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, NC.
Marvin was born on April 20, 1941 in Fremont, NC to Marvin and Ethel Smith Artis. He was a graduate of the Norwayne High School (Fremont, NC) class of 1959 and is survived by his daughter, grandchildren, siblings, cousins, and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
