Goldsboro - Ms. Mary Elizabeth Smith Hamilton, 73 of 808 Devereaux Street, passed on Sunday, December 30, 2018 at home surrounded by her loving family. The celebration of her life will be held graveside on Monday, January 7, 2019 at 12:00 noon at Wayne Memorial Park, 2925 US Hwy 117 South, Dudley, NC. There will be a viewing on Sunday, January 6, 2019 from 3:00pm to 7:00pm with the family arriving to greet friends from 6:00pm to 7:00pm at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home & Cremations, 1701 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, NC.
She was born on November 13, 1945 in Wayne County, NC to Leslie Jack Smith and Dorothy Mae Barnes. She is survived by her two daughters: Mary Hamilton (Doron) Graham and Laverne Hamilton (Thomas) Kelly; grandchildren: De'Juana Hamilton, Sha'Rita Hamilton and Erika Hamilton; her brother, James Earl (Julia) Barnes; sister, Evangelist Dorothy Smith (Nathaniel) Coley and her great grandchildren: Tanyous, Angel, Laniah, Derion and Quatavia.
