Goldsboro - Ms. Mary Demetrice Wooten Harvey, 63 of 215 E. Hooks River Road, passed on Friday, March 24, 2017 at Wayne UNC Health Care, Goldsboro, NC. The celebration of life will be held on Friday, March 31, 2017 at 11:00am at Greenleaf Christian Church, 2110 N. William Street, Goldsboro, NC. She will be laid to rest at the Old Mill Cemetery, 3718 Central Heights Road, Goldsboro, NC. There will be a visitation held on Thursday, March 30, 2017 from 6:00pm until 7:00pm in the J.B. Rhodes Jr. Memorial Chapel at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home & Cremations, Goldsboro, NC.
She was born in Wayne County, NC to Grace Lee Wooten Newsome and George Wadford. She is survived by her daughter, Nigrilya Moneshe Harvey (daughter) and Bobby Detorus Harvey (son) both of Goldsboro, NC; five grandchildren: Tiffany Perkins, Mahagany Perkins, Justice Wooten, Jayla Brown all of Goldsboro, NC and Mariah Perkins of Durham, NC; four great grandchildren: Leah Exum, Lawrence Holmes, Kal Holmes and Laiya Holmes; four sisters: Earleen (Alton) McClarin of Goldsboro, NC, Shirley (Robert) Jones of Norfolk, VA, Sharon (Jimmy) Flanagan of Goldsboro, NC and Constance (Tyrone) Lesesene of Goldsboro, NC and two brothers: Ronnie (Barbara) Smith of Goldsboro, NC and Benjamin (Angela) Newsome of Norfolk, VA.
