Mrs. Mary Emma Harvey's Obituary
Dudley - Mrs. Mary Emma Smith Harvey, 95, passed on Monday, January 21, 2019 at the Kitty Askins Hospice Center, Goldsboro, NC. The celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at 11:00am at Goldsboro Chapel FWB Church, 1314 Ben Brewington Ct., Goldsboro, NC. She will be laid to rest at the Elmwood Cemetery, Hwy 117 Bypass, Goldsboro, NC. There will be a viewing held on Friday, January 25, 2019 from 2:00pm to 7:00pm with the family arriving to receive friends from 6:00pm to 7:00pm at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home & Cremations, Goldsboro, NC.
Mary was preceded in death was her beloved husband, Thelbert Harvey Sr.; two sons: Gerald and Jimmy Ray and a daughter, Delores Harvey Whitley.
She was born on December 2, 1923 in Wayne County, NC to Clement and Hattie Joyner Smith. She is survived by four daughters: Barbara Exum (Dudley, NC.), Betty Harvey (Secaucus, N.J.), Coleen Gregory (Elder Henry Jr.) (Goldsboro, N.C.) and Jacqueline Harvey (Dudley, N.C.) and three sons: Thelbert Harvey Jr. (Dudley, N.C.), Aubrey Harvey (Englewood, N.J.) and Melvin Harvey (Goldsboro, N.C.), numerus grandchildren, great grandchildren, other loving relatives and friends.
