Goldsboro - Mrs. Mary Troublefield Holmes, 72 of 702 Robinson Pl, passed unexpectedly on Thursday, September 3, 2015 at Wayne Memorial Hospital, Goldsboro, NC. A celebration of her life will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, September 10, 2015 at Mount Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, 318 Denmark Street, Goldsboro, NC. She will be laid to rest at Wayne Memorial Park, 2925 US Hwy 117, Dudley, NC. A public viewing will be held Wednesday, September 9, 2015 from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm with the family being present from 6:00 to 7:00 pm at J. B. Rhodes Funeral Home, 1701 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, NC.
She was born in Wayne County, NC on May 9, 1943 to Allen Rhodes and Eliza Mae Troublefield. She is survived by: a son, Jessie Holmes (Georgia) of Woodbridge, VA and two daughters: Sebrina Holmes of Raleigh, NC and Sonya Holmes of Fort Washington, MD. She is also survived by two sisters: Joyce Ann Best of Clinton, NC and Katie Vann of Mt. Olive, NC.
