Goldsboro - Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Bailey King, 91, of 202 Banks Ave., passed on Monday, April 13, 2015 at home surrounded by her loving family. The celebration of her life will be held on Friday, April 17, 2015 at 11:00am at Goldsboro-Raleigh District Assembly, 211 West Hooks River Road, Goldsboro, NC. She will be laid to rest at Elmwood Cemetery, 306 E. Elm Street, Goldsboro, NC. There will be a visitation held on Thursday, April 16, 2015 in the J.B. Rhodes Jr. Memorial Chapel at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremations from 5:00pm until 7:00pm with the family arriving to receive other family and friends from 6:00pm until 7:00pm.
She was born on April 19, 1923 in Selma, NC to Edward Bailey and Eliza Oliver Bailey. She is survived James Edward King (Doris), Mary Louise Redfern (John), Hilda K. Broadie (Vernon), Eva K. Bryant (Raiford), Margaret K. Brinson (John), Linwood Gene King (Sylvia), Brenda K. Myers (Leander), Lenora K. Best, Joseph King (Heather), Lucille K. Williams (Cedric), Dennis Kirk King (Traci) and Elizabeth King Coley (Marvin). Also to cherish her memories are 34 grandchildren, a host of great and great, great grand children, two sisters, Lenora Sims and Lila Cates, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
