Goldsboro - Ms. Mary Virginia Maddox "Cat King", 64, completed her earthly journey, Thursday, December 14, 2023 at UNC Medical Center, Chapel Hill surrounded by her family. The celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, December 23, 2023 at 1:00pm at Goldsboro-Raleigh District Assembly (GRDA), 211 West Hooks River Road, Goldsboro, NC. A viewing will be held on Friday, December 22, 2023 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremations, 1701 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, NC. She will be laid to rest at the Golden Gate Memorial Gardens, 4734 Highway 117 North, Pikeville, NC.
She was born on April 2, 1959 Wayne County, NC to William King and Virda Mea Smith King. She is survived by her children: Angelo (Keosha) Maddox of Fayetteville, NC, Melody Maddox and Anthony Maddox both of Goldsboro, NC and Anthony (Shaconda) Melton Sr.; grandchildren and other loving relatives and friends.
