Goldsboro - Ms. Mary Holloway Rhoe, 83 of 706 Robinson Pl, passed on Tuesday morning, September 24, 2019 at Wayne UNC Health Care, Goldsboro, NC. The celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2019 at 1:30pm at the Goldsboro-Raleigh District Assembly (GRDA), 211 West Hooks River Road, Goldsboro, NC. There will be a viewing held on Friday, September 27, 2019 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home & Cremations, 1701 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, NC. She will be laid to rest on Monday, September 30, 2019 at 10:00am at Wayne Memorial Park North, 1191 Old Grantham Road, Goldsboro, NC.
She was born on July 18, 1936 in Wayne County, NC to Herbert and Eva Exum Holloway. She is survived by one daughter, Veronica (Preston)Legette of Columbia, SC; one son, Joe (Amy) Holloway of Hanau, Germany; four brothers: Herbert (Agnes) Holloway Jr. of Hanau, Germany, Benjamin (Brenda) Holloway, Marshall(Joyce)Holloway and Alonza (Regina)Holloway of Goldsboro, NC; five sisters: Peggy Blount of Augusta, GA, Brenda Holloway of Columbia, SC, Pastor Nancy (Charles) Kornegay of Hinesville, GA, Eldress Sarah (James) Morgan and Janice Scanes of Goldsboro,NC; one uncle, Pinkney "P.H." Holloway and one aunt Mable Holloway of Goldsboro, NC; three “special” sons: Robert E. Hines of Rosewood,NC, Herbert Hines Jr. and Anthony “Tony” Holloway of Goldsboro, NC; two special daughters: Cienna “CeeCee” Holloway of Goldsboro, NC and Devontis “Renee” Scanes of Wilson, NC; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
