Mt. Olive - Ms. Mary L. Strong, 61, passed on Sunday, November 21, 2021 at Duke University Hospital, Durham, NC. The celebration of her life will be held on Monday, November 29, 2021 at 2:00pm at Winn Chapel Church, 110 Smith Street, Mt. Olive, NC. There will be a chapel viewing held on Sunday, November 28, 2021 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home & Cremations, 1701 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, NC. She will be laid to rest at Carver Memorial Park, South Breazeale Ave, Mt. Olive, NC.
She was born November 29, 1959, in Brooklyn NY, to the late Amy Lee Strong and James Russell. She is survived by four children: Annie Strong of the home, Devon Kornegay, Pamela Strong and Avery Strong all of NC; one sister, Betty Strong of New York; one brother, Ellery Strong of NC; seventeen grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
