Dudley - Mrs. Mary L.Washington, 97, finished her course on Tuesday, January 16, 2024 at home surrounded by family. A memorial service for Mary Ellis Washington will be held on Friday, June 28, 2024 at one o’clock in the chapel of Raleigh Memorial Park, 7501 Glenwood Avenue, Raleigh, North Carolina 27612.
The service was deliberately planned to coincide with what would have been the 72nd wedding anniversary of John and Mary Washington. Their spirits are already together in heaven. Her urn will be placed next to his casket in the crypt. Now the bride can join her bridegroom on their anniversary! Join us as we celebrate her life and their love.❤️
She was born on October 28, 1926 in Wayne County, NC to Cicero Ellis and Bessie Mozingo Ellis. She leaves precious memories with two daughters: Rose Marie Walton of Lithonia, GA and Carolyn Yvonne Bryson (Robert L.) of St. Louis, MO; four grandchildren; five great grandchildren and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
