Kinston - Ms. Mattie Lee Flowers Cannon, 90, passed on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at Signature HealthCare of Kinston, NC. The celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, June 26, 2021 at 11:00am at Loftin Memorial-J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home, 106 N. East Street, Kinston, NC. She will be laid to rest at the Southview Cemetery, Old Asphalt Road, Kinston, NC. There will be a viewing held on Friday, June 25, 2021 froom 4:00pm to 6:30pm at the funeral home.
She was born on February 23, 1931 in Lenoir County, NC to Sylvester Flowers and Hattie Battle Flowers. She is survived by her daughter, Christine White (James) and her son, Ronnie Wilkes Sr. and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
