Faison - Mother Mazie Lee Sanders Thompson, 97, passed on Friday, February 19, 2021 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center, Goldsboro, NC. The celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at 12:00 noon in the J. Bernardo Rhodes Memorial Chapel at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home & Cremations, 195 Kenansville Hwy, Warsaw, NC. There will be a viewing held from 11:00am to 11:45am. She will be laid to rest at the Faison Community Cemetery, Faison, NC.
She was born in Sampson County, NC to John Augusta Sanders and Maylon Hobbs Sanders. She is survived by one son, Donald Ray Thompson of the home; a sister, Mrs. Willia Morrison of Ewing, New Jersey; one brother, Deacon James H. Sanders of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Ruth Sanders of Philadelphia, PA and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
