Greenville - Ms. Melissa L. Shackleford, 74, kept the faith and completed her course on Monday, August 29, 2022 at ECU Health Medical Center, Greenville, NC. The celebration of her life will be held on Sunday, September 11, 2022 at 12:00pm with a viewing from 11:00am to 11:45am at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremations, 1701 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, NC. She will be laid to rest at the Snow Hill Cemetery, 1112 Kingold Blvd, Snow Hill, NC.
She was born on November 19, 1947 in Washington, DC to Willie Blount Jr. and Essie Chesntut Blount. She is survived by her children; grandchildren and other loving relatives and friends.
