Mr. Melvin Wayne Edwards' Obituary
Seven Springs - Mr. Melvin Wayne Edwards, 71, of 4273 Hwy 111 S, passed on Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at Wayne Memorial Hospital, Goldsboro, NC. A memorial service will be held Monday, June 15, at 7 p.m. at St. John's Free Will Baptist Church, N.C. 111 South. Visitation to follow. At other times, the family will be at the home.
He was born on August 9, 1943 in Wayne County to the late Wilber and Pennie Grarris Edwards, he was an avid card player and porch sitter and loved his family unconditionally.
Survivors include his wife of 20 years, Sadie Kelly Edwards; daughter, Mary Beth Edwards; and stepsons, Keith King and Eddie King. The pride and joy of his life were his grandsons, Brandon Strickland and special friend, Meranda Quinn, Colby Strickland and Skyler King; great-granddaughters, Kloey Cannon and Addison Strickland; special K-9 companion, Rem; family friend, Linda Grady; one sister and her husband, Jean and L.H. Brinson of Richlands; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Addison Jayne Strickland College Fund or NCCFCU in Goldsboro.
