Fremont - Mr. Michael Holmes Sr., 49 , completed his earthly walk and transitioned from labor to reward on Thursday, November 30, 2023 at home surrounded by his loved ones. The Celebration of his Life will be on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at 12:00pm at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home & Cremations, 1701 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, NC. There will be a church visitation on Friday, December 8, 2023 from 6:00pm to 7:00pm at Lindell Revival Center, 1744 Big Daddy's Road, Pikeville, NC. He will be laid to rest at Golden Gate Memorial Gardens, 4734 US Hwy 117 North, Pikeville, NC.
Michael was born on January 11, 1974 in Wayne County, NC to Jernest Levoy Holmes and Ms. Ethelene Artis. He is survived by and leaves to cherish his memories to his two children: Khaylah Holmes and Michael Holmes Jr.; one brother, Kenneth Holmes (Monique) of South Carolina; four nieces: Kanesha, Veona, Venessa and Ethelene; three nephews: Jernest, Elijah and Jumir; his aunts: Pastor Shirley Hawkins, Annie Johnson and Betty Jean Hendricks; one uncle, Charles Artis and a host of other relatives and friends.
