Mt. Olive - Mr. Michael E. Lane, 60, completed his earthly journey and transitioned from labor to reward on Sunday, September 1, 2024 at Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The celebration of his life will be on Saturday, September 14, 2024 at 2:00pm with a viewing from 1:00pm to 1:50pm at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home & Cremations, 1701 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, NC.
Michael was born on August 19, 1964, to Christine Langston Lane and the late Lester George Lane, Sr. in Jersey City, New Jersey. He leaves to cherish his memories his mother, Christine Lane of Goldsboro, NC; brother, Gregory Leon Lane (Yvonne) of Jersey City, NJ; his wife, Carol Fields Lane (Karin Fields) of Orange, NJ; devoted friend, Bernice Carter (and Children) of Mount Olive, NC; daughter, Samantha Christine Lane of Houston, TX; son, Michael Daniel Lane of Savannah, GA; daughter-in-law, J’Kayla Lane; two granddaughters: Aubriella Alexis and Annika Brielle Lane of Hardeeville, SC; his sister, Jackie Carol of Maryland; aunts: Marian Jones of Temple Hill, MD and Janice Sharp (Perry) of Humboldt, TN; uncles: Jimmy Leon Langston of Jersey City, NJ and Charles Lane (Brenda) of Goldsboro, NC; sisters-in-law: Gianya Turner Lane of Plainfield, NJ and Ty’East Lane of Jersey City, NJ; great aunt, Dorothy Whitfield Langston of Goldsboro, NC and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
