Fremont - Ms. Nancy Lewis, 81, passed on Sunday, August 18, 2019 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center, Goldsboro, NC. The celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2019 at 11:00am at St. James Church of Christ DOC, 514 Memorial Church Road, Fremont, NC with PAstor Tony Sutton officiating. She will be laid to rest at the Fremont Cemetery, 174 Winding Branch Road, Fremont, NC. There will be a viewing held on Friday, August 23, 2019 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm with the family arriving to receive friends from 6:00pm to 7:00pm at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home & Cremations, 1701 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, NC.
She was born on February 12, 1938 in Wayne County, NC to Sherman Jones and Clara Hall Jones. She is survived by her children: Doris A. Scales (Willie) of Flower Mound, AK, Barbara Holmes of Fremont, NC, Herbert R Lewis Jr. (Teresa) Goldsboro, Donald R. Lewis (Gloria) Goldsboro, NC and Frederick G. Lewis (Sharon) of Colorado Springs, CO.
