Goldsboro - Mrs. Naomi Roundtree Collie, 65 of 610 Woodberry Drive, passed on Monday morning, May 15, 2017 at home. The celebration of her life will be held on Friday, May 19, 2017 at 11:00am at St. Mark Church of Christ, Disciples of Christ, 700 W. Ash Street, Goldsboro, NC with Bishop Alton A. Smith officiating. She will be laid to rest at Wayne Memorial Park, 2925 US Hwy 117 South, Dudley, NC. There will be a viewing held on Thursday, May 18, 2017 from 1:00pm until 6:00pm with the family arriving to receive friends from 5:00pm until 6:00pm in the J.B. Rhodes Jr. Memorial Chapel at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home & Cremations of Goldsboro.
She was born on February 22, 1952 in Wilson County, NC to Raymond Roundtree Sr. and Rosa Lee Batts Roundtree. Naomi is survived by her husband, Willie Collie Sr. of the home; children: Aric (Tara) Collie of Goldsboro, NC, Minister Germaine Collie of Goldsboro, NC, Willie Collie Jr. of Washington, DC and Timothy (Donica) Collie of Washington, DC; twelve grandchildren: Ty’Reaunna, Amani, Chasity Summers, Tamika Collie, Justin Collie, Chastity (Trevin) Fauntleroy, Alexis Walker, Deanna Moten, Aaliyah, Jeremy, Devonta Sutton and DeYanni; ten great grandchildren: Tytiana Newsome, Mariah Franklin, Khloe Franklin, Jamiea Collie, Jayden Collie, Zoey Collie, Katherine Fauntleroy, Madison Walker, Greyson and Javon; her siblings: Olivia R. (Charles) Bynum of Raleigh, NC, Raymond (Laua) Roundtree Jr. of Sickleville, NJ, Rosa R. (Hurel) Barnes of Middlesex, NC and William A. (Margo) Roundtree of Wilson, NC; her in-laws: Nora Jean Brown of Goldsboro, NC, Gwendolyn Garner of Bronx, NY and Ronnie Best Sr. of Greensboro, NC; 16 nieces, 11 nephews, one aunt, Mrs. Carrie Roundtree Bullock of Wilson, NC, and a host of great nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
