Goldsboro - Ms. Nora Simmons Lee, 64 of 906 N. Madison Ave., passed on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at Wayne UNC Health Care, Goldsboro, NC. The celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at 12:00 noon at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home & Cremations, 1701 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, NC with Pastor Gregory Jones Sr. officiating. She will be laid to rest at the Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, 3888 US Hwy 70 West, Princeton, NC. There will be a viewing from 11:00am to 12:00 noon on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at the funeral home.
She was born on March 6, 1954 in Kinston, NC to James and Betty Dawson Simmons. She leaves to cherish her memory four daughters and one son: Cassandra Lee of Goldsboro, NC, Donna Borlan of Goldsboro, NC, Cashelia Lee of Goldsboro, NC, Nora V. Lee of Goldsboro, NC and Donald (Shannon) Lee Jr. of Raleigh, NC. She also leaves to cherish her memory her sister, Monnie Hargett of Kinston, NC; her brother, Samuel (Carol) Simmons of Kinston, NC; 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She also leaves to cherish her memory her very devoted friend, Michael Lane.
