Goldsboro - Mrs. Pamela Newkirk Wellington, 54 of 912 S. Madison Ave., passed on Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at Wayne Memorial Hospital. The homegoing celebration will be held on Sunday, March 30, 2014 at 2:00 pm at St. James AME Zion Church, 205 S. George Street, Goldsboro, with Reverend J.W. Britt officiating. She will be laid to rest in Old Mill Cemetery, Central Heights Road, Goldsboro. There will be a visitation held on Saturday, March 29, 2014 from 2:00 pm until 7:00 pm with the family present from 6:00 pm until 7:00 pm in the J.B. Rhodes Jr. Memorial Chapel at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremations. She was born in Wayne County, NC to Leroy and Rebecca Newkirk on June 28, 1959. She leaves to cherish her memories, a loving husband, Billy Ray Wellington SR. of the home; one son, Billy Ray Wellington Jr. of the home; one daughter, LaShawnda Newkirk of Goldsboro, NC; two grandchildren: Breionna McCuller and Kelly Fuller Jr.; two brothers: Michael Dino Newkirk (Berdina) of Fayetteville, NC and Leroy Newkirk Jr. of Goldsboro, NC; three sisters: Evelyn Newkirk Chalmers of Raleigh, NC, Jessy Newkirk Wade (Mike) of Navada and Cynthia Newkirk-Kenion; three sisters- "in-law; four brothers-in-law; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Professional, sympathetic, dignified, compassionate care and service entrusted to J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremations.
