Ms. Patrice Michelle Birden's Obituary
Goldsboro - Ms. Patrice Michelle Birden, 33 of 502 Samuel Road, passed on Saturday, January 9, 2016. The celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at 11:00 am at Faith United Holy Church, 1603 S. Slocumb Street, Goldsboro, NC. She will be laid to rest at Elmwood Cemetery, Goldsboro, NC. There will be a visitation held on Friday, January 15, 2016 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm with the family arriving to receive friends from 6:00 pm until 7:00 pm at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremations.
She was born on September 1, 1982 in Orange County, NC to Michael and Nellie Bryant Birden. She is survived by her parents and two sisters: Constance and Amber Birden both of Durham, NC. She was employed by the Goldsboro News Argus in the Mailroom. Patrice graduated from Silver Valley High School, Class of 2000, in Barstow, CA. She continued her education at East Carolina University, graduating in 2006 with a Bachelor's Degree in Communication. She was a member of the Tau Chapter of Phi Sigma Pi.
Patrice was the maternal granddaughter of the late Kenneth and Ethel Bryant of Goldsboro, NC. She is also survived by parental grandmother, Gloria Blakely (Melvin) of Marrero, LA; ten aunts: Janet Clark (Tracy) of Gretna, LA, Dana Birden of Marrero, LA, Vera Glass of Mesa, AZ, Eliza Davis (James) of Lanham, MD, Iris, Ella, Veronica, Bernice and Eltralla Bryant all of Goldsboro, NC, Winifred Bryant of Winterville, NC; six uncles: Ivory (Robin) of Marrero, LA, Wilford Birden (Angie) of Marrero, LA, Larry of Mesa, AZ, Joseph (Jesse) of Hampton, VA, Kenneth Jr. and Stanley Sr. Bryant of Goldsboro, NC; two great aunts: Martha Allen and Gloria Walker (Barry) both of Marrero, LA, and a host of relatives and friends.
