Fremont - Ms. Pearlie B. Jones, 94 of 501 Thomas J, Jones Street (formerly 501 Short Street) passed on Friday, July 26, 2019 at home. The celebration of life will be held on Friday, August 2, 2019 at 12:00 noon at St. James Church of Christ DOC, 514 Memorial Church Road, Fremont, NC. She will be laid to rest at the Rest Haven Cemetery, 1717 Lane Street SE, Wilson, NC. There will be a viewing held on Thursday, August 1, 2019 from 7:00pm to 9:00pm at St. James Church of Christ DOC, 514 Memorial Church Road, Fremont, NC.
She was born on October 16, 1924 in Wilson County, NC to Thurman Sanders and Mary Barnes Sanders. She is survived by two daughters: Beatrice Jones and Dr. Wilma J. Harris of Fremont; 3 sons, Thomas L. Jones of Goldsboro, Timothy E. Jones of Fremont, and Trustee Joseph A. Jones of Wilson County; 6 grandchildren, Thomasina and Melody Jones, Kenny, Kelly and Brittany Ruffin, and James E. Harris, Jr.; 4 great grandchildren, 2 sisters, Doretha “Pat” Moody and Almeta “Joe”( Paul) Rawls, of Wilson; a special sister-in-law, Mary Harris of Baltimore, MD; 4 brothers-in-laws: Bobby Jones of Goldsboro, Carl Jones of Hamlet, NC, Sylvester Jones and Roy Jones, Jr. of Hampton, VA; 2 sisters-in-laws, Louise Jones of Selma, NC and Carolyn Mack of Queen, NY; a personal care assistant whom she referred to as her third daughter, Wanda Machelle Hamilton; special friends: Mrs. Alberta Coley, Mrs. Winnie Williams, Mrs. Nancy Holmes, Deacon Silas Best and Rev. Williams Holmes; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends..
