Goldsboro - Ms. Peggy J. Barnes, 70, faithful servant, received her reward on Thursday, June 22, 2023 at ECU Health Medical Center, Greenville, NC. The family will celebrate her life on Saturday, July 8, 2023 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremations, 1701 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, NC.
She was born on December 5, 1952 in Wayne County, NC to Joe Mack Johnson and Clara Mae Graham Johnson. She is survived by her children: Kenneth Barnes (Stephanie); Keneicsha Monroe (Gary); LaToya Williams (Danny); seven grandchildren: Robert Sims (Casey), Travis Sims, Lephemia Sims, Jaysa Barnes, QuWaun Barnes, Daniel Williams, and Isaiah Williams, five great grandchildren; two sisters: Evon Johnson Sutton and Marian Johnson Lewis; three brothers: Joe Mack Johnson, Jr. (Anna Mae), Larry Willis Johnson (WynnMynn), Nathaniel Johnson (Rosetta); and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
