Goldsboro - Mr. Percy Junior Monk, 74 of 404 Lime Street, passed at home. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at 11:00 am in the J.B. Rhodes Jr. Memorial Chapel at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremations. He will be laid to rest in the Hillside Cemetery, Alex Benton Rd., Newton Grove, NC. There will be a visitation held on Monday, December 2, 2013 from 6:00 pm until 7:00 pm at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremations. He was born on March 14, 1939 in Wayne County, NC to William Henry Brooks and Mary Elizabeth Monk. Percy leaves to cherish his memory, one son, Michael Black of Goldsboro, NC; three step children; one sister, Mary Monk of Chapel Hill, NC; a beloved niece and friend, Robin Sanderson of the home; a favorite cousin , Essie L Cox whom he adored; and a host of cousins, friends and other relatives.
