Ms. Rachel Atkinson Berry's Obituary
Jacksonville - Ms. Rachel Berry, 75 of 2251 Hines Farm Road, passed on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center, Wilmington, NC. The celebration of her life will be held on Friday, March 24, 2017 at 11:00am at Abundant Life Baptist Church, 1518 Gum Branch Road, Jacksonville, NC with Reverend Nancy Richardson Perry officiating. She will be laid to rest at the Old Mill Cemetery, 3718 Central Heights Road, Goldsboro, NC. There will be a viewing held on Friday, March 24, 2017 from 10:00am until 11:00am at the church.
She was born on January 3, 1942 in Wayne County, NC to Luby Atkinson and Addie Cox Atkinson. She is survived by three sons: Antonio (Sharon) Atkinson, Arthur Lee Atkinson and Victor (Helen) Guy, four sisters: Frances “Shirley” Moore of Richmond, VA, Lois (Emmeul) Lewis of Goldsboro, NC, Annie Mildred “Till” Ward of Mt Olive, NC and Joyce Braggs of Jacksonville, NC and one brother, Luby (Belinda) Atkinson of Pine Level, NC.
