Goldsboro - Ms. Rachel B. Moore, 97, completed her earthly journey and transitioned from labor to reward, Sunday, September 1, 2024 at home surrounded by her loved ones. The celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2024 at 1:00pm with a viewing from 12:00pm to 12:45pm at St. Joseph FWB Church, 280 Claridge Nursery Road, Goldsboro, NC. She will be laid to rest on Sunday, September 8, 2024 at 10:00am at Wayne Memorial Park North, 1191 Old Grantham Road, Goldsboro, NC.
She was born on November 15, 1926 to Otis Braswell and Isabella Benton Braswell. She is survived by three sons: Kenneth R. Moore, Jr (Trina) of Raleigh, NC; Reginald Moore, Goldsboro, NC; Rayford Moore (Tonia), Hampton, Virginia; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; a sister, Annie Mae Cox of Rosewood (Goldsboro, NC), a brother, Herbert Hoover Braswell, Goldsboro, NC and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends
