Goldsboro - Mr. Raymond Atkinson Jr., 82, completed his final earthly assignment on Thursday, May 9, 2024 at home surrounded by his loving family. The celebration of his life will be held on Thursday, May 16, 2024 at 1:00pm with a viewing from 12:00pm to 12:45pm at Goldsboro-Raleigh District Assembly (GRDA), 211 West Hooks River Road, Goldsboro, NC. He will be laid to rest on Friday, May 17, 2024 at 2:00pm at the Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery, 164 Longs Plant Farm Road, Goldsboro, NC.
He was born in Wayne County, NC to Raymond Atkinson Sr. and Helen Everett Atkinson. He is survived by his children, grandchildren, siblings and other loving relatives and many friends.
