I just learned of Sgt Wiggins passing on yesterday. We worked together at Neuse Correctional Center. He was a mild mannered well respected officer and it was a pleasure to have worked with him RIP
It was a Blessing to know and work with you, Prayers of comfort for your family

Rest well Mr. Wiggins, you will be deeply missed. Love your favorite girl!

I have known Richard Wiggins since 1978 at SJAFB,NC, also we worked at Neuse Correctional. He was well respected both in the Military and Corrections. Sending our condolences to the family. RIP Rich
Rich Wiggins was one of the premier First Sergeants i ever had the privilege of working with. He was a good friend, mentor and a Security Policeman Defender. RIP in peace Brother Rich Wiggins. My deepest condolences to the Wiggins Family!

Wiggs & I were stationed together at SJAFB, NC in the mid-80s. I was the First Sergeant of the 4th Security Police Squadron at the time. There were multiple times when we worked together and shared our thoughts. He told me he always wanted to be a First Sergeant. I said I would keep that in mind. When it was time for me to leave, the Commander asked if I have anyone in mind for my replacement. I didn't hesitate to tell him Wiggs was the man, especially being a Security Policeman and all, he would be familiar with our Squadron.May you fly with the angels Wiggs and RIP Brother.
I am saddened to hear of the passing of my mentor and friend Sergeant Wiggins. He was instrumental in my employment at Neuse Correctional Institution and was my first supervisor, whose leadership laid the foundation for my career at Neuse. I pray God’s peace and comfort be with his family during this time, and I look forward to finding him in Heaven.
