Goldsboro - Mr. Ricky W. Smith, 60, departed this earthly life on Sunday, October 29, 2023 at home. The celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2023 at 1:00pm with a viewing from 12:00pm to 12:45pm at St. James Church of Christ DOC, 514 Memorial Church Road, Fremont, NC. He will be laid to rest at the Golden Gate Memorial Gardens, 4734 Highway 117 North, Pikeville, NC.
He was born on April 22, 1963 in Wayne County, NC to Russell Edward Smith Sr. and Mary Lee Wilson Smith. He is survived by He leaves to cherish his memories four brothers: Russell Smith Jr. (Minister Lizzie) of Fremont, NC, Charles Smith (Johnnie Faye) of Dudley, NC, Johnnie L. Smith (Patrice) of Fremont, NC and Danny Smith; three sisters: Apostle Mary M. Brown (Elder Walter) of Goldsboro, NC, Cora Dianne Applewhite of Goldsboro, NC and Janice Pinder (Robert) of Goldsboro, NC and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
