Goldsboro - Mr. Robert L. Chambers Jr., 78, passed on Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at Wayne UNC Health Care, Goldsboro, NC. The celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, December 19, 2020 at 11:00am at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home & Cremations, 1701 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, NC. He will be laid to rest at the Golden Gate Memorial Gardens, 4734 Highway 117 North, Pikeville, NC. There will be a viewing held on Saturday, December 19, 2020 from 10:00am to 10: 50am at the funeral home.
He was born on August 10, 1942 in Wayne County, NC to Robert Lee Chambers Sr. and Grace Margaret Thornton Chambers. He is survived by his children: Lasonia (John) Chambers Mickens, Goldsboro, NC, Fanita (Demetrius) Williams, in Griffin, GA, Wahkena Chambers, in Hartford CT, Onieka (David) Webb, in Hartford, CT, Robert Lee Chambers, III, in Los Angeles, CA, Deshawn Chambers, in Goldsboro, NC and Tiffany (Kenneth) Chambers Townsend, in Raleigh, NC, siblings and grandchildren.
