Goldsboro - Retired 1st Sergeant & MSGT Robert B. Herring Jr., 59, passed on Monday, October 17, 2016 at Vidant Inpatient Hospice, Greenville, NC. The celebration of his life will be held on Sunday, October 23, 2016 at 12:30pm at Greenleaf Christian Church DOC, 2110 N. William Street, Goldsboro, NC. He will be laid to rest on Monday, October 24, 2016 at the Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery, 164 Longs Plant Farm Road, Goldsboro, NC with military honors. There will be a viewing held on Saturday, October 22, 2016 at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home & Cremations from 4:00pm until 7:00pm.
He was born in Pender County, NC to Robert B. Herring Sr. and Elsie Marie Branch Herring. He is survived by his wife, Rochelle Harper Herring of the home, son, Robert B. Herring, III of Atlanta, GA and daughter, Rochelle Nicole Herring of Greensboro, NC.
