Raleigh - Mr. Roger Dwain King, 57 formerly of Mt. Olive, NC, passed on Monday, February 22, 2016 at Wake Medical Center, Raleigh, NC. The celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, February 27, 2016 at 1:00 pm at Mt. Gilead Missionary Baptist Church, 2591 Beautancus Road, Mt. Olive, NC with Pastor Michael C. McDougald officiating. He will be laid to rest at Wayne Memorial Park, 2925 US 117 Hwy, Dudley, NC. There will be a viewing held on Friday, February 26, 2016 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm in the Tywanta Rhodes Platt Memorial Parlor at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremations.
He was born in Wayne County, NC to Arnold King Sr. and Jankie Bell King. He is survived by his wife, Tracey Bell Hines King; three children: Montrale Deo Boykin (LaKisha) Kernersville, NC Isaiah King of Accokeek, MD and Diamond King of Accokeek, MD; three grandchildren: Kendal Boykin, Shaniyah Hines and Rashon Hines Jr., two stepsons: Rashon Hines (Adrienne) of Gulf Breeze, FL and Julius Murphy of Raleigh, NC; five brothers: Arnold King Jr. (Sylvia) Nanjemoy, MD, Rudy King (Lynell) of Goldsboro, NC, Joseph King (Dorothy) of Mt. Olive, NC, Michael King (Shirley) of Portsmouth, VA. and Danny King (lnonda) of Dudley, NC; seven sisters: Edna K. Nicholson (Bobby) of Clinton, MD, Brenda K. Felder of Washington, DC, Carol K. Harvey of Mt. Olive, NC, Sylvia K. Cotton (William) of Durham, NC, Belinda K. Olliver (Devoux) of Goldsboro, NC, Mary K. Sharps of Dudley, NC and Pamela King of Washington, DC; one brother-in-law, Deion Bell (Yolanda) of Goldsboro, NC; five sisters-in-law: Nicole Martino (Michael) of Charlotte, NC, Audrey Oates (Greg) of Columbia, SC, Teresa Dilworth of Goldsboro, NC, Carolyn Bell of Goldsboro, NC and Pamela Bell of Goldsboro, NC.
