Goldsboro - Mrs. Rosa Lee Coley Thompson, 80 of 124 Orbit Road, passed on Friday, December 13, 2013 at Wayne Memorial Hospital surrounded by her family. Her homegoing celebration will be held on Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at 11:00am at Best
Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 1065 Tommys Road, Goldsboro, NC, with the Reverend Joe A. Jackson
officiating. Burial will be in the Old Mill Cemetery. There will be a visitation held on Tuesday, December 17, 2013 in the J.B. Rhodes Jr. Memorial Chapel at
J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremations from 1pm until 7pm with the
family present from 6pm until 7pm. She was born on October 29, 1933 in Wayne County, NC to the late Mary Rachel Coley and the Isaac Sutton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles W. Thompson and two sons: Michael Thompson and Delmus Thompson. She is survived by her children: one daughter, Donise M. Thompson of Goldsboro, NC; three sons: Reverend Marshall K. Thompson (Brenda) of Goldsboro, NC,
Travis S. Thompson (Cheryl) of Kinston, NC, and Dexter O. Thompson of
Tampa, FL; six brothers and six sisters; a a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. The family will receive friends and family at 124 Orbit Road, Goldsboro, NC 27530. Professional, sympathetic, dignified, compassionate care and service entrusted to J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremations.
