La Grange - Ms. Rose A. Wooten, 93, answered the Master's call on Thursday morning, May 19, 2022 at the Willow Creek Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Goldsboro, NC. The celebration of her life will be held on Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at 11:00am at Liberty Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 2704 NC Hwy 903 N, La Grange, NC. She will be laid to rest at the Sutton Family Cemetery, NC 903, La Grange, NC. There will be a chapel viewing held on Tuesday, May 24, 2022 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home & Cremations, 1701 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, NC.
She was born on September 6, 1929 in Wayne County, NC to Robert Wooten and Lorina Sutton Wooten. She is survived by her daughter, Robin (Wooten) Casey of Goldsboro, NC (David); one brother, Howard L. Thomas of La Grange, NC; three sisters: Minnie Thomas Edwards of Kinston, NC ( the late Rev. George Edwards), Nora Thomas of Elizabeth, NJ and Swannie Waters (the late Herman Waters) of La Grange,NC; four grandchildren: Robert L. Wooten, Jr of Jacksonville, NC (Jennifer) Demetrius Wooten of Greenville, NC (Tameka) , Shannon and David-Allen Casey of Goldsboro, NC; three great-grand children: SaMya, Ciara and Jayzon Wooten; eight nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
