Goldsboro - Mrs. Rosie Mae Wooten, 89 of 306 Olive Street, passed on Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at home surrounded by her family. The celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at 12:00 noon at New Stoney Hill United Holy Church, 1003 Poplar Street, Goldsboro, NC with Dr. Howard E. McNair Sr. officiating. She will be laid to rest at Wayne Memorial Park North, 1191 Old Grantham Road, Goldsboro, NC. There will be a viewing held on Tuesday, July 12, 2016 from 11:00am until 11:50am at the church.
She was born in Duplin County, NC to Julia Ellen Lowe. Forever memories are cherished by her children: Len Wooten (Eartha) of Dudley, NC, Lena Jones (Allen) of Goldsboro, NC, Maurice Wooten of the home, Samuel Wooten, Jr. of Kinston, NC, Donald Wooten (Jocelyn) of Atlanta, GA, Kathaleen Ingram of Goldsboro, NC, Essie Wooten of the home and Kankus Wooten of Mount Olive, NC; 12 grandchildren: Diedra Wooten, Michael Wooten, Kimberly Franklin (Larry), Cory Wooten (Sabrina), Kristal Ward (James), Bobby, Tonya , Tavarus and Winsor Ingram, Donnetta Wooten, Regina Simpson, Muriel Beene (Gene) & Natalie Watkins (Artez’); 15 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives & friends.
