Faison - Mr. Roy Allen "Butch" Hobbs, 68 of 184 David Bright Road, passed on Sunday night, May 25, 2014 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center. The celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2014 at 3:00pm at Moses Chapel Church, 165 David Bright Road, Faison, NC. He will be laid to rest in the Cobb Cemetery, Juniper Road, Faison, NC. There will be a visitation held on Saturday, May 31, 2014 from 2:00pm until 3:00pm at the church. He was born on November 9, 1945 in Brooklyn, NY to Catherine Hobbs and Sam Butler. Roy leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Lillie Books Hobbs; sons: Raymond Devon Haynes of Bronx, NY and Charles Fryar of Faison, NC; one aunt, Mary Stevens of Faison, NC; one uncle, Percy Hobbs of Faison, NC; three stepsons: Darrow Brooks of Denmark, SC, Williams Anthony Brooks and Eric Brooks of Brooklyn, NY; ten grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; five sister-in-laws; three brother-in-laws, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family and friends. Professional, sympathetic, dignified, compassionate care and service entrusted to J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremations.
