Goldsboro- It is with profound sadness that we share the loss of Mr. Roy Alvesta Mason age 82, who passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 14, 2026 at his residence surrounded by his loving wife and daughter. The Celebration of Life will be Saturday, April 25,2026 at 1:00 PM at First African Baptist Church, 803 Harris Street, Goldsboro, NC 27530. There will be a viewing from 12:00-12:50 PM. There will be a viewing on Friday, April 24, 2026 from 5:00-7:00 PM at J.B. Rhodes Jr. Memorial Chapel. The Masonic Rites will be at 6:30 PM. Th e family will be at the chapel from 6-7. He will be laid to rest at First Congregational UCC Cemetery, Old Mount Olive Hwy. Dudley, NC 28333. The Staff of J. B.
