Goldsboro - Mr. Rufus G. Thompson, 87, completed his earthly journey and transitioned from labor to reward on Monday, September 16, 2024. The celebration of his life will be held on Wednesday, September 25, 2024 at 12:00pm at St. Mark Church of Christ, Disciples of Christ, 700 W. Ash Street, Goldsboro, NC. He will be laid to rest at the Elmwood Cemetery, 900 W. Brick Street (Hwy 117 Bypass), Goldsboro, NC. There will be a viewing held on Tuesday, September 24, 2024 from 3:00pm to 6:00pm at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremations, 1701 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, NC.
He was born in Goldsboro, NC to the late Emma Hall (Hudson) and late Herman Thompson.
