Dudley - Eldress Ruth Naomi Carraway, 97 of 404 Brogden Street, passed on Monday, April 8, 2019 at home. The celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday, April 16, 2019 at 12:00 noon at Greater St. John FWB Church, 613 Mitchell Road, Dudley, NC. She will be laid to rest at Wayne Memorial Park, 2925 US Hwy South, Dudley, NC. There will be a viewing from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Monday, April 15, 2019 at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home & Cremation, 1701 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, NC.
She was born on December 9, 1921 in Lenoir County, NC Albert and Tommy Ann Whitfield Grandy. She is survived by her children: Herman Lee Carraway, Joyce (Willie) Polite, Bertha Carraway and James Lamont (Shonett) Carraway; one sister, Wyoming Grandy; eleven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
