Mrs. Ruth Mumford Worrell's Obituary
Goldsboro - Mrs. Ruth M. Worrell, 87, passed on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at Wayne UNC Health Care, Goldsboro, NC. The celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at 12:00 noon at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home & Cremations, 1701 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, NC. She will be laid to rest at the Golden Gate Memorial Gardens, 4734 Highway 117 North, Pikeville, NC. There will be a viewing held on Friday, October 29, 2021 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm at the funeral home.
She was born on December 12, 1933 in Wayne County, NC to Laura Raiford Mumford and Leonard Edward Mumford. She is survived by her children: Leonard Earl Worrell (Elder Barbara Worrell) of Goldsboro, NC, Chris Ann Worrell of Greenville, NC and Teresa Lynn Smith (Elder Andrew Smith) of Goldsboro, NC; one sister, Lillie Mumford Harris (Walter M. Harris) of Williamston, NC; numerous grandchildren, greatgrandchildren and a host of devoted family and friends.
