Samuel Body's Obituary
LaGrange Mr. Samuel "Tick" Body, of 1361 Parkstown Road, died Thursday morning, November 1, 2012 at home surrounded by his loving family. The homegoing celebration will be held on Monday, November 5, 2012 at 2:00pm at Mt Zion Seventh Day Adventist Church, 1289 Parkstown Road La Grange, NC. Interment will be in the Old Mill Cemetery, Central Heights Road, Goldsboro. There will be a viewing held on Sunday, November 4, 2012 from 3:00pm until 6:00pm with the family present from 5:00pm until 6:00pm in the J.B. Rhodes Jr. Memorial Chapel of J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremations. "Tick," as he was affectionately known, was born on April 30, 1924 in Wayne County, NC to the late Will and Nora Jackson Body. He was a lifelong farmer, who also enjoyed hunting and watching baseball. He leaves to cherish his memory a loving and devoted wife, Mrs. Sallie Hunter Body of the home; four children: Judy (Bernard) Thompson of Washington, D.C., Synora (Reverend Charles) Howard of Goldsboro, N.C., Billy (Maude) Body and Everette Body of Goldsboro, N.C.
