Dudley - Mr. Samuel Bryant Jr., 83 passed on Saturday, October 3, 2015 at LaGrange Gardens Assisted Living, LaGrange, NC. The celebration of his life will be held on Thursday, October 8, 2015 at 11:00am at White Oak Grove FWB Church, 2261 Big Daddys Road, Pikeville, NC. He will be laid to rest at Wayne Memorial Park North, 1191 Old Grantham Road, Goldsboro, NC. There will be a viewing held on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 from 3:00pm until 8:00pm in the Tywanta Rhodes Platt Memorial Parlor at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremations.
He was born on December 21, 1931 in Wayne County, NC to Rosa Mae Spruill. He is survived by five children: Marion (Addie) Bryant of Goldsboro, NC, Prophetess Myra (Jerry) Raynor of Goldsboro, NC, Saundra (Brian) Billups of Raleigh, NC, Theresa (John) Myrick of Kingsville, TX and Samuel Bryant of Goldsboro, NC; 15 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; his siblings: Lionel (Parthenia) Artis of Goldsboro, NC, Missionary Ester Mae Artis Williams of Goldsboro, NC, Kenneth Artis of Goldsboro, NC, Connie Artis of Goldsboro, NC, Minnie (Herbert) Smalls of Washington, D.C., Odell Artis of Smithfield, NC, Rosa Faye (Kenneth) Lee of Virginia and Ronnie Lee Artis of Goldsboro, NC.
