Washington DC- Samuel Donald Grant age 66, peacefully transitioned on February 23, 2026 at UNC Health Wayne in Goldsboro, North Carolina. A proud veteran, Samuel devoted his life to serving others, whether through his country, his family or his community. He will be lovingly remembered for his kindness, gentle spirit and the joy he brought to everyone who knew him.
The family asks that you keep them in your thoughts and prayers as they prepare to honor and celebrate his life.
The Celebration of Life will be Tuesday, March 3, 2026 at 12:00 PM, at J.B. Rhodes Jr. Memorial Chapel, 1701 Wayne Memorial Dr. Goldsboro, NC 27534. There will be viewing from 11:00 -11:50. He will be laid to rest at Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery, 164 Longs Plant Farm Road, Goldsboro, NC 27534 , on Wednesday, March 11,2026 at 2:00 PM
