La Grange - Deacon Samuel E. Jarman, 94, peacefully slept away from this earthly world and entered into his heavenly home on Monday, April 17, 2023 at UNC Wayne Healthcare, Goldsboro, NC. The celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at 2:00pm with a viewing from 1:00pm to 1:45pm at St. Matthew Free Will Baptist Church, 2758 Jenny Lind Road, La Grange, NC. He will be laid to rest in the St. Matthew FWB Church Cemetery, La Grange, NC.
He was born on April 3, 1929 in Lenoir County, NC to Henry and Adell Phipot Jarman. He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Jannie Louise Cannon Jarman; children: James Jarman (Carol) of Spring Lake, NC, Kenneth Jarman (Sharon) of Winterville, NC and Angela Mills of Goldsboro, NC; 10 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren 5 great great grandchildren; brother, Willie J. Jarman (Daisy) of Norfolk, Va; sisters: Mary H. Lawson of Boston, MA and Doris E. Jones of Temple Hills, MD and several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
