Goldsboro - Pastor Samuel Johnson Sr., 63, faithful servant of the Lord completed his earthly assignment on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 and has now gone home to receive his reward. The celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2022 at 11:00am at First African Baptist Church, 803 Harris Street, Goldsboro, NC. He will be laid to rest at the Golden Gate Memorial Gardens, 4734 Highway 117 North, Pikeville, NC. There will be a visitation held on Friday, November 18, 2022 from 3:00pm to 6:00pm at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremations, 1701 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, NC.
He was born in Philadelphia, PA on June 26, 1959 to Fred Pitt and Velma Maddison. He is survived by his loving wife, Linda Jones Johnson; his children and other loving relatives and friends.
